I decided on ASU because they were one of the best schools for my degree program. They had a campus location close to home. The professors were knowledgeable, fair and stuck to teaching facts. The campus was clean and had many amenities like food, a gym, study rooms, and a large library with many places to study or relax. ASU had many resources and tools available. I was able to get my first internship through their internship portal. I later landed another internship, that became my first job out... Read More of college, by going to their massive career fair on campus. ASU worked really hard and gave me resources to try to prepare me to be successful in the career field. I would not have the opportunities I've had without my degree from ASU.

In general, I have been going to school part time on and off for the last 10 years. After having kids and dealing with medical issues, life has thrown many curveballs my way. I went to a good handful of universities and colleges in my local area and the way that classes worked and the way that travel worked, they all sucked. Either classes started too late, schools were too far from home, too expensive, or had professors that cared less about teaching and more cared about politics. I had a difficult... Read More time trying to resolve the issues above and then some, but when I was recommended online schooling, I thought, well, what is the worst that could happen. Turns out, I really liked it. I like the environment that ASU puts forth, i like the tools they provide for assistance, the coaching that I get really helps, and have had much better luck as a father of 2 working toward my degree here than I have the college/university that is 20minutes from my home.

ASU is a fantastic choice for beginning or continuing a university level education. The staff is easily approachable and ready to share a wealth of knowledge to help foster your learning. There are many program options to choose from as well, and a number of interesting and inspiring elective course options. In addition, the Tempe main campus is located right in the heart of a social network with so many options to choose from for dining out, shopping, and other opportunities for social activities.... ASU is great and it has alot of opportunities if you know how to use them. School is tough though and challenging so you need to reach out to alot of people. The only things that I dont like is that they never call me at the right number, and there's always alot going on that feels unorganized at times with the school especially advising and doing A masters program. None of the advisors talk to each other and its hard to get clear, direct information sorted out and that the professors dont really... Read More do much. While researching a good university for an Emergency Management master’s degree, I noticed that Arizona State University had a variety of degrees within the Emergency Management Homeland Security track. I initially started with a concentration in cyber security but there were so many classes to choose from that sounded more fun so I changed my degree plan to no concentration. The core classes are great, except for a master’s level statistics class you have to take for some reason, that class is pointless.... Read More Just know that each lecture in that class includes a short 5 min video on how to do what’s needed in excel…you’re welcome. My wife and I actually graduated at the same time so we traveled to ASU to do the walk. Definitely worth it. I’m so glad I chose ASU for our degrees!

Arizona State University is a great school for anyone looking to make the next step in, not only their career, but their life!

The academics were somewhat substandard, but this is only in comparison to Ivy schools. The average student has a lot to learn and will feel adequately challenged.

Attending Arizona State University gave me more flexibility to pursue my degree while still working. I enjoyed my program and learned a lot of skills that helped me pursue a career in digital marketing. The instructors for the classes all brought their own experience to share through the content and there were a lot of simulation to help test out skills. I was able to have an In person schooling for Undergrad and online schooling for my Graduate course. Bothe are unique experiences. I would recommend, if you can, to do university in person. Teachers are very open to having you reach out to them for any class problems or will reach out to you if something isn't going well. The advisors are also very helpful through out the year, so don't be afraid to talk with them whenever they check in to see your progress. You have acess to an amazing online library...
