My experience with FAU was a great one. The Creative Writing program is fully funded so I didn't have to take out loans to attend on in-state tuition. When it comes to an art program, I honestly believe that affordability should be at the front of any applicant's mind. My experiences with the professors and other students there was unmatched. The MFA in Creative Writing at Florida Atlantic University has helped me further myself as a fiction writer more than I thought possible. Located in sunny Boca Raton, Florida, if you're looking to earn a Master's in Fine Arts in Creative Writing, Florida Atlantic University is worth checking out. The MFA program at FAU has amazing, supportive faculty that go out of their way to create a community of writers. They also bring in highly acclaimed writers to read for students and the public. Recent readers have included JoAnn Beard, Phil Klay and Roxane Gay. The school is also in a beachside city. There is no/poor public transportation in the area, so a car is a must.
