Fresno Pacific University's psychology program was very thorough in that they focused a great detail on practicum training, exposure to symposiums, and tests which were challenging but fair. They require a minimum of 240 units in order to graduate, and the financial help can vary for incoming freshman and transfers based on their GPA ranging from $2,500-full tuition. The education I have received from Fresno Pacific University can be described as influential. Being that it is a historically religious school, I found that many of my professors in my specific programs, Psychology and Criminal Justice, were able to integrate faith within the curriculum properly without it being overwhelming for non-religious individuals. There are many opportunities to get involved on campus through the leadership programs. There are even opportunities to create programs if one feels that a certain demographic or interest is underrepresented at the institution. Whether you live on campus or commute, as I did, there are opportunities for you at Fresno Pacific. There are opportunities to address the shortcomings of the institution as well which is something some schools especially private schools do not always allow. There are opportunities to study abroad, as well as embark on missions trips which can be paid for using financial or institutional aid. Fresno Pacific has been named one of the most affordable christian colleges offering a plethora of financial as well as institutional aid. They offer a Four Year Graduation Guarantee and do all they can to honor that agreement. In addition, they offer accommodations for individuals with disabilities and have an office specifically designed to ensure students remain academically successful. Overall, this institution blessed me tremendously and I am glad to say I am an Alumni of Fresno Pacific University.

I graduated from Fresno Pacific University with a bachelor degree in Business Administration, with a Marketing emphasis. I enjoyed my time at FPU. It challenged me spiritually, physically, academically, and socially. I also played for the women's team so I learned a lot about time management between academics, athletics, and social time. Read More for you, FPU may not be the school for you. Academically, the courses are very rigorous- which I think is a good thing because it prepares us for life after college that is not simple.

FPU was a great place to receive my undergraduate education. The quality of instructors was top notch. I felt comfortable going to them if I needed help and I never felt that I was inconveniencing them. Judging by how easy it was to get the classes that I needed and not be waitlisted, this was a great school. Almost 90% of the time I could register for classes and not be waitlisted or have any problems with the classes being too full. I have also taken classes at Fresno City College and it was extremely hard to get into any class at all. I was very pleased in regards to class availability. However, Even though i was pleased with the registration process I would not give the advisors/counselors the same review. They did not seem knowledgeable about degree completion programs, they referred me to the wrong people to answer my questions and they were only available 3-4 hours a week, in small chunks. Over the past 4 years that I have attended Fresno Pacific i have had 4 different advisors, each student is suppose to get one and have the same advisor continuously throughout their years at their college in order to lessen confusion and so each advisor knows each student's progress. Over all I rate this as an average college, still definitely needs some work done in some areas.
