I graduated from Liberty University with my Masters in clinical mental health counseling. The program was online and it was fair but could have been better. They also don't take complaints about professors seriously especially when it's multiple reports about the same teacher.

I would recommend Liberty University's graduate program to anyone.

Liberty University is a fantastic school. I really enjoyed the 8-week class terms. And that I could attend classes through the entire year without having to take breaks (meaning I received my degree in 3 years instead of 4. All in all, if you are comfortable in this environment, even if you don't practice, Liberty University is a great school to attend. I would only recommend that the school have assistance with job placement for online students as well as in-person students. We also paid a lot of money to go to the school, and that is one perk that many of us need, but don't receive.

My five-year journey attending Liberty University was as an online student. I attended from 2020-2025, working through a PhD in Criminal Justice. I attended full-time, taking 6 hours each semester. Doctoral coursework was 42 college hours, 3 college hours of Research Concepts, and 15 hours of Dissertation. Preparing for the Dissertation Defense was difficult because numerous reviews took place between the Criminal Justice faculty and the Methodology faculty, but it was worth it. My errors were caught, quickly pointed out, and corrected before the Defense could occur. Scheduling the Dissertation Defense took time because trying to juggle the schedules of everyone was difficult. The Graduate office was very good at this step.
Grades: I believe that some of the instructors were a little easy on me than they should have been, but I certainly didn't complain to them.
Cost: I do NOT think that the university was "just out for my money." It was expensive and I have student loans to pay back, but I made that choice, and the debts are mine.
Graduation: I traveled to Lynchburg to attend graduation and walk the stage. It was an incredible experience that I'll never forget. The campus was beautiful, big, and welcoming!
The lessons I learned are invaluable. The faculty was very good. I would do it again.

I have found this school to be consistently predatory towards its students. Liberty University aggressively target markets to busy moms, working professionals and the military population. I have had the direct experience multiple times where the school literally registers my for classes without my knowledge or consent.
