The quality of education at Life has been on a decline for the last few years. Many of the professors are leaving suddenly. The clinic system is poorly ran and scheduling is a nightmare. The administrators refuse to take anything students say into consideration because they just want money. Life Leadership Weekend does a great job of selling the school as all rainbows and happy times, but >80% of the student population is miserable. I would highly consider going anywhere else than Life University... Read More for chiropractic.

Anyone considering this profession would be better served pursuing a doctorate in orthepedics. The teachers are ok, some better than others. The clinic hands on instruction was lacking, partly because there were too many students and not enough teachers. They expect you to learn to adjust outside the school, which is just not feasible for many. Also many people take 5 to 7.5 years to finish the program, leaving you saddled with a huge and crippling student loan debt. And employment options are very... Read More limited. Either work for someone else or open your own business. And many small businesses tend to fail within a few years. I do not recommend this school or this profession.

Life is cool. Until they make on campus living mandatory for first years. No big deal you might think. That is until you get hit with the fees. It’s a private institution so they’re gonna get their dollar out of you no matter how they do it. You lock yourself out of your dorm? $35. Be in the same area as a incident and suddenly you’re in the student conduct meeting with them. Please lord do not get me started on parking tickets. No stickers let you park there, but the security guards are praying on your downfall hoping that you do. Majority of the classes should be taken online because the professors don’t know how to teach. Teaching yourself would honestly be easier. In short, it feels as if everyone at the school is trying to get you out of your dollar as if its their only purpose. Instead of taking care of the students that they force to live on campus they strip them of everything they can. If I could go back in time I would 100% choose another school without a doubt. I can tell you this; unless you are looking for a chiropractic degree, or playing rugby do not come to this school. Shoot, even other schools offer rugby nowadays.

I do not know where to begin, this school is great at marketing and pulling you in with their "leadership weekend." This school is not so great at being honest, I thought this school would offer me a vitalistic approach to education but I was incorrect. Leadership Weekend takes your breath away, you instantly feel like you are apart of something bigger than you could imagine and then - classes start. You are bogged down with 23 credits which is referred to as "full load," these classes consist of... Read More your major sciences. If you are a 23 credit student like I was you will be in class all day from 7AM until 5PM, there were times when I did not have any breaks in my schedule. I was completely exhausted. The professors (while some of them nice) stand in front of the class and read slides, they rarely teach. You are distracted with lots of rhetoric about Chiropractic philosophy, while I appreciate the mantra "the power that made the body heals the body," I would much rather learn information applicable to the profession. There are professors who will slant your grades because they like you and then professors who will fail you because of the same reasons. I remember being in class with someone who said, and I quote, "my father donated a lot of money to this school for me NOT to fail." Obviously this is something that happens at Ivy League colleges but its not expected to happen in a profession that people claim "promotes positivity in health and wellness." I also have to report the little snippets of racism on campus, I have personally observed members of staff speaking negative about Blacks and Latinos which is interesting since the school does such a great job at appearing like they are super invested in Puerto Rico. Now lets discuss the positive - the reality is, compared to other Chiropractic schools in this Region Life could be considered one of the best so I guess this counts for something. I am currently completing my degree at Palmer which, in terms of quality of education, it is a less stressful environment. I do wish there was some kind of mention of philosophy here as it is definitely lacking but I would much rather be around faculty members who act with integrity than faculty members who are grandfathered into a school and/or still on payroll because of their "donations." If you don't believe this review, just go and talk to members of the Life community (or people who attended and left). This school has so many skeletons buried, it is kind of sad honestly. At least Dr. S.D. was an honest, straightforward, hard to deal with kind of guy... Dr. G. R, well, lets just say his personality is left to be desired. I gave the school 3 stars because while my experience there was not the best, there are some amazing people that I met at Life and will cherish my relationships with them for the duration of my time in chiropractic. Oh and to add....this school is a quarter of a million dollars, it would be smart to investigate the choice to attend.

I received my masters of science degree in positive psychology with a focus on coaching. I pursued this degree so I can combine it with my doctorate in physical therapy in order to connect with patients on a deeper level to help them achieve their health and wellness goals. The masters program at Life University was amazing and I loved each course. All of the professors were highly knowledgable and willing to help in any way they could. Life University is the best, and largest, Chiropractic College in the world. Even with having large class sizes my instructors were eager to learn our names and treated us as colleagues on day one. The curriculum is set up for you to successfully pass the board examinations and be able to become a legitimate doctor. One area of the curriculum that lacks is the lack of business and practice management courses. We are required to take certain courses to graduate, however, they are just not enough.... Read More However, the lack of these courses is made up for by the abundant amount of clubs on campus, quite a few of them being practice management and business clubs. I am happy with my experience at Life University and would direct any person interested in changing the world through Chiropractic to Life U.

Life University has a lot of history and is one of the leading institutions for chiropractic profession. The school values and fosters the vitality and holistic approach to health, all of which can be found within every facet of the school. The physical location is very beautiful and continues to improve. The Chiropractic program is very demanding and requires effort of the student to seek the resources to ensure their success. Choosing Life University was one of the best decisions I've ever made. Life U takes a natural full body and mind approach to healthcare and life. I believe that it is important to get back to basics in this day and age where our country as a whole is in a bit of a health crisis. The class sizes are small enough where you can connect with your fellow students and the instructors know and care about you. To this day I still keep in touch with my instructors. I was able to walk into and out of finals with confidence that I fully understood the material. After graduation I have been able to utilize my degree as a swim coach, massage therapist, and physical therapy technician and I plan on building on it in graduate school. The campus is beautiful and easy to navigate. Everywhere you look there are peaceful havens where you can study, hang out with friends, or just enjoy the day. Marietta is the perfect combination of history mixed with modern progress. The possibilities are endless in terms of things to do and places to travel. I highly recommend this school to anyone who is looking for an institution that truly cares for its students, provides wellness for the world, and is in an amazing city to live.

Overall, I enjoyed attending Life University. The teachers are great and very knowledgeable and the learning environment is extremely positive. However, I think for the cost of the degree it is not worth it. I would not recommend attending this school for an undergraduate degree. If you are pursuing chiropractic that is another story. I absolutely love my school and the Doctor of Chiropractic program that I am in. The students, professors, and staff are all very friendly, knowledgable and are willing to go above and beyond for the people in the Life University community. The school is not very large so there is a close community feel which makes seeking out help in a program that is very rigorous and challenging at times much easier, and allows for a larger rate of success. There are also many different learning opportunities available at the school such as clubs, organizations, seminars, speakers, and many chiropractors who are professors who provide a wealth of information and knowledge. The only con that I have observed from over the course of my time here at Life is the volume of the course work at times. There are so many classes and tests going on at once, some of the information being learned is not always absorbed to full capacity. Some of the lessons and concepts are taught at a rapid speed and I believe that we as students may benefit more if it was slowed down a bit and more time was put on the program in order to fully absorb and really learn some of the information.
