I had a very good experience with Ottawa University 91³ÉÈË. The enrollment process was smooth. Support was there from enrollment to graduation. With an emphasis on liberal arts education I was challenged to think deeply in each class I took. Be prepared to write a lot of papers. They make you work but it is very beneficial. I am very happy with my experience and feel that what I learned has benefited me in my career.

I began my college journey at a different university where I attended school primarily on campus and had to change my work schedule to fit around my school schedule. I found this to be quite difficult with my job. I ended up changing universities for numerous reasons (price and my schedule being the main reasons.) I heard about Ottawa University on the radio and took interest in it. I was able to get my bachelor's degree almost entirely online and if there was a course I had to take on campus, there... Ottawa University (OU) was one of the greatest decisions I made. OU has one of the best business programs and professors. The classes were smaller classes allowing a greater discussion. I never had a prof. who did not go out of their way to help me; continuously offering help and personal one-on-one meetings to see my success in the class room.

I truly loved Ottawa. The classes had a significant amount of hard and decent learned work. I learned alot for social work and counseling studies. The only thing I did not care for was that they sold my degree as the social work degree. However, it may be for some states but in Indiana you must be licensed and attended a BSW or MSW program. However, I am going to further my degree at Walden and get my MSW there. But, with Ottawa they do have decent programs and lovely professors and I would recommend... Read More

I believe you can find a better university for the price of tuition. Other then a few good professors most did not have a good attitude about helping students with anything outside the classroom. Support staff was also extremely unhelpful. Cafeteria and other facilities are poor but improving. I would not recommend this university to any freshman or transfer student unless they are looking for a small campus atmosphere.

I graduated from Ottawa University with a BA in Management in the summer of '09. I was a transfer student previously attending Capella University. Ottawa has a very generous credit transfer policy. All of my credits from Capella as well as from my military service were transferred, including some credits from previously earned industry standard certifications. For my learning experience and because of my work schedule I prefer a combination of online learning and traditional. Ottawa provided both.... Read More

Quality education and professors. Currently working on my Master's Degree now with Ottawa. Courses do require hard work, time and research. But you will learn from these courses and be able to apply what you learn to your career, especially with the Management major.

Good teachers/professors. Fair amount of hard work required, but worth the money in quality education.
