UNF is a great school for those who attend in an online format. Since coming back to school after 20+ years, it's really broadened my ability to attend school, get a degree and graduate - all mostly done at my pace. While there are deadlines for assignments, I can reorganize my day with my daughter, husband, work and any other things that might pop up on our schedules. Teachers are PHENOMENAL - especially Dr. Casey Colin!

I honestly really loved attending the University of North Florida. The first two years were rough because the on campus housing was awful. I loved all of my classes and the layout of the campus. There were a lot of events and ways to connect with others. I would say overall it was an average college experience.

The UNF campus feels like home. The grounds are always maintained with plenty of greenery and you will even find little animal friends along your class commute. The campus itself is a wildlife sanctuary! You will run into curious turtles, baby alligators, snakes and plenty of birds. Other than the scenery, they have an amazing academic staff. Every professor truly wants to. be there and makes your education feel respected and valuable. The college is also is a solid location, closed to shops, restaurants,... Read More

The education I got at the University of North Florida was great. As an undergraduate student in the College of Education, I was at first annoyed that I couldn't minor in anything, but I learned it was due to the fact they truly wanted you to focus fully on the educational classes and that they'd also take a good amount of time. Professors made sure you understood what you were learning in a way that you'd be able to transfer what you learned onto your future students. Honestly UNF wasn't my first... Read More

The University of North Florida offered convenient options to get my degree completed. I was able to take classes at the campus and online which made it easy to get my coursework completed. The campus is inviting, clean and easy to navigate while the online system is user friendly. I definitely recommend UNF!

If you are pursuing any computing degree. This is not the school for you, trust I speak from experience they are really harsh on computing majors. Fail twice rule means any classes doesn’t have to be a computing course. You are screwed. Gotta change.

UNF has continually let me down. The school seemed promising after the tour and talking to some advisors but after 3 years at the school 2 of which were in person and one online I can confidently say this school is woefully mismanaged. I have routinely run into professors who are bitter spiteful and uninterested in their jobs. The about of times I have had to micromanage my professors into doing the basic aspects of their jobs is absurd, whether it be posing assignments and documentation on time,... Read More

UNF gave me a lot of career opportunities and the courses prepared me for my career. I l loved the culture of the university and class sizes are small. I did have an issue with one professor and parking is expensive. Overall, I would recommend this school.

I never had a bad teacher. Every time I made an appointment with, and met with my advisers, I wasn't met with problems. The advisers are incredibly helpful and knowledgeable. The campus is great, everything you need is there. I was able to meet with counselors, not even for problems with school, but just regular real-life stuff. There is a variety of class times, for those that need morning or nights. There are also online options. I've done both. I prefer being in class, but the way the online classes... Read More

Although UNF wasn't my first choice, I was very happy to have attended this university. I had a great time, my advisors helped me a lot and with my scholarship i was able to study abroad, which may not have been possible had i attended another university. The teachers were very knowledgeable and passionate about their subjects. WiFi on campus sucks.

During my time at the University of North Florida (UNF), I did my best to get involved with as many opportunities as I thought would enhance my skills and understanding in the best possible way. The University provided many avenues and opportunities to my relevant degree of study. Something I was impressed was how there were always marketing events every Wednesday from relevant companies and businesses encouraging students in the pursuit of their education and the reassurance of job security upon... Please, don't let this school fool you. I came here with a near perfect college GPA as a transfer with high ambitions and I am leaving depressed, and now, thanks to their policy, under academic probation. I feel cheated and dirty. This school promises a small community and great resources; again, don't let them fool you. All that translates to is a school understaffed (the faculty they do possess is overworked and unbearable), disorganized (good luck applying for financial assistance), and drained... Read More

Though it is taking strides toward becoming a more campus friendly school, the University of North Florida functions predominantly as a commuter school for students in North East Florida. Think USF in Tampa or FAU in Boca Raton. This is due to a few easily identifiable reasons: First, the school is young. Founded in 1972, the school is still attempting to determine its own identity as a medium-large sized public university. Where USF and FAU are attempting to build identity and tradition from athletics,... Read More

The UNF Brooks College of Anesthesia program is a good program. It has done an excellent job at giving me the tools to be successful as a CRNA when I graduate next year. It has provided multiple clinical sites for a broad experience on how different sites do anesthesia differently. Upon graduation, UNF provides the fees for board certification as well as BLS/ACLS/PALS. At the end of the program, I will have exceeded the required number of hours to sit for the board.

The University of North Florida is an amazing school. The teachers provide one on one help and are cornerstones in the community. It is large enough to have the college feel but smaller than major universities like UF. My upper level courses tapped out at 50 people. All the professors were willing to help and build a one on one relationship.
