On many levels, I was content with the courses that I took and the professors that I had. Because the English degree encompasses different areas of study, I was disappointed to have so many classes that catered to areas outside of the literature focus, such as creative writing and writing, teaching, and criticism. This was a flawed system of running the courses. Some of my classes were fantastic (Medieval English Lit and Critical Theory, to name a few). Others pandered to specific groups of like-minded... Read More individuals who shared a joint agenda. Many of the courses I took were, as some would describe them today, "woke" and pandered to groups of leftist agendas. This was disheartening as I was told on several occasions that my ideas were base and unrelated because I am a white person. It was at this point that I realized that the program was designed as a social test: think like us and you will walk away with new (correct) perspectives or be knocked down for offering an opposing point. Discourse and concessions are dead here. You're damned if you do; you're damned if you don't.

Go to West Chester for Physical Therapy or a similar degree. Otherwise, you're better off elsewhere. West Chester does not under any circumstances force you to sit down and plan out your graduate career path-- they let you fly by the seat of your pants. I've been constantly told by family, friends, media, and fellow students, that a Bachelor's is all you need to enter the job market in the field you've selected at college. Turns out, a Master's is the new Bachelor's! But, as long as Sallie Mae is dishing out loans and your payments are coming in, West Chester doesn't care. They'll let you do whatever you like, whenever you like, so long as you dedicate yourself to "finding yourself" by living (and paying) on campus, at their bookstores, for their park passes, paying their parking violations, and becoming a "more well-rounded person" at their institution. Thank goodness WCU is comparatively cheap. But, that may be the precise reason I didn't get the help or formal career instruction I needed from the only individuals best qualified (and paid) to provide me with it; simply not being paid enough to care.

The MBA program is not designed well for working professionals. The amount of work required in the 7 week courses is ridiculous for many of the courses. This is why a number of professors open up the courses early which demonstrates that they uinderstand the curriculum is impossible to complete in just 7 weeks. There are a number of group projects that are close to awful because they are not conducive to a working professionals schedule, directions are unclear, group members schedules just don't... I attended school here from 2014-2018. I had an amazing experience at WCU and wouldn't change it for the world. For the most part professor are passionate and helpful. The only professors I didn't love were for my science courses (I took about 6 science classes) They really didn't know how to teach the material. They just read from slides and that was basically it. The campus is beautiful and the staff around the school is pretty friendly! I made so many friends here and had a great college experience.

West Chester University is a community built on a foundation and expectation of excellence. The university is inclusive and welcoming and has endless amounts of resources to their students. The partnerships that are established on and off campus are a true reflection of how invested the university is I the student body. I was able to obtain an internship for four consecutive years, which allowed me to obtain networking experience and job experience allowing me to leave WCU with a nice bulky resume.... I transferred to West Chester University after spending my freshman year at a college in Boston. This college had a tremendous program and I really enjoyed the city. However, when I began my sophomore year, I was not happy there any longer and realized that I should just transfer to West Chester which has a tremendous education program which would help me become a teacher. I spent all 4 years of my undergraduate career at West Chester University in PA. West Chester's classes are very accommodating so I was able to finish my last semester and work full time with no problems!
