I can honestly say I enjoyed my time at Southern New Hampshire University. The guidance counselors were amazing. I went through a couple periods of real life hitting hard and they helped me navigate it seamlessly. Classes were all fairly easy. I was able to stay full-time and work full-time. If I ever had questions professors were responsive if I ever had to turn in anything late as long as I gave a professor, a heads up, they didn’t mark me off for it.

The traditional college experience can be difficult for those with full-time jobs and families. Adhering to a strict course schedule is almost impossible. Southern New Hampshire University makes it possible for those in this situation to obtain their college degree.

I have never had a more amazing Advisor as the one I had while I attended Southern New Hampshire University. He really made me feel seen, and like I was a person and not just a ID number. He was especially helpful when I was suddenly hospitalized and would need to withdraw for that term. He took care of everything for me, including speaking to my instructor, while telling me that I should focus on recovery. It was a huge relief to have someone like him in my corner.

And while the degree I chased... Read More

Southern New Hampshire University gave me the flexibility and support I needed to succeed as an online student. The instructors were helpful, coursework was meaningful, and the overall experience prepared me for my career. I'm proud to be a SNHU graduate!

This university was great for having flexibility as it was online and I was able to space out assignments and classes as needed. I completed it alongside of an in person associates degree where they were able to utilize the credits I had already earned towards my bachelors which was very helpful for both pay and time

SNHU was a great stepping stone to the workforce while I was getting my degree. There were so many other places that I could have chosen from, but they are the ones that help you with your education. The teachers were amazing, and the fees were just about right, never changing while I was in school, but also it wasn't an outrageous amount where I could not have handled it on my own. I appreciate the opportunities that were available to me when going to SNHU and the opportunities that still lie ahead... Read More

The material could have been more in depth for some of the courses. It seemed like the courses that lacked in material also had instructors that did a poor job with the material. That being said, the majority of classes were excellent along with the instructors. I would say only 15 percent of the classes were questionable. The online environment was great.

I love the amount of control I am able to have while going to school online. It has been a blessing to be able to work, and go to school for something i'm really interested in. The professors could definitely be a bit more involved, but if you like independence this is the school for you.

SNHU provided me with a great opportunity to continue my education, while not sacrificing my other responsibilities. The asynchronous style of learning was beneficial to me, because I could learn at my own pace. If that wasn't your style, many professors offered live lectures as well to attend via video call. SNHU and schools like it are essential to providing equitable opportunities to all types of learners.

Southern New Hampshire University was a great choice for me. I really enjoyed the structure of the classes and was able to get through my BSN in ten months doing two classes at a time. The classes lasted 8 weeks each and each week had two assignments that you had to complete. Overall, it was an enjoyable experience.

Degree: Communications (Public Relations)

Between the two degrees (undergrad in English and Master's in Communication), the professors were far better at responding and helping with the undergrad. My masters has been great for my career but it was mostly trial and errors since the professors were fairly unresponsive and took forever to grade anything so you turn in several new items that built off of items that were never graded ahead of time. The information was great! Professors, not so much with the master's. I would highly recommend... Read More

I did go to a traditional school for a while, and the classes were very similar to the SNHU online class professors. With online you can talk more to the professor and other students because the class sizes are much smaller. At my traditional university the classes were huge and I didn't have a personal relationship with any of the professors. 2 years in traditional, 2 online, the education was better online for the undergrad.

I had a great experience earning my bachelor’s degree here, which is why I chose to enroll in the master’s program. Unfortunately, my experience with the administration was very disappointing. I had to withdraw due to a documented medical emergency, but my appeal was denied, leaving me with a large bill despite my history as a successful student. The academics were excellent, but the lack of compassion and support from the administration completely changed my view of the university.

I loved having the opportunity to go to SNHU completely online. As a full time working adult, I don't have the time to go to a school after hours and watch a lecture. School "at your own pace" is the way of the future and SNHU is the leading university of it.

Southern New Hampshire University is very welcoming. From the first call, what became just a maybe, became a yes. They walk you through your process step by step. There was no surprise in my out of pocket expenses, they were very upfront with everything. The professors are very caring, I had surgery during one of my semesters and was called and checked on , plus given a little extra time to complete my work. At graduation they wee very hands on down to making sure everyone's robe was on correctly... Read More

Overall I had a great experience at Southern New Hampshire University, I loved how flexible the online classes were and I learned a lot of useful skills I still use in my job today. Getting my degree also allowed me to get a job in my chosen field. The only thing I would change is that there is a lot of required general education courses which were not entirely degree specific.

SNHU made it easy for a working professional such as myself to get an education on my terms. The coursework was thorough, and the instructors were always willing to work with me to achieve my goals. The structure of the online learning program was very convenient, and allowed me to study on my own time without allowing me too much time to flounder.

When I first signed up for a meeting with an admissions counselor, I didn't really know if I actually wanted to attend SNHU or not. However, they were quick to convince me that it was the right move for me, mostly because the coursework can be done pretty much at my own pace and on my own time (the exception to that would be Thursday discussion posts). Overall, I was happy with my four years at SNHU and I was able to graduate with a degree in Creative Writing that I am already using quite a bit.

Overall a wonderful learning experience. The classes were mostly online so I wouldn't say I had a similar college experience to most people, however I found the classes to be great and the lectures were interesting. Several lecturers were always available to help in case of anything, so yeah, great school.
