I would not waste your time or money. After $10K I have nothing to show for it, and it’s not for lack of effort. I busted my butt in every single class, like most other people. I work a full time job, try to maintain a normal life, and study as much as possible. 1 class kept me from getting my degree, 1. I attempted to take the exam 3 times, and it didn’t matter if it would’ve been an open book exam, the material never matched what I was studying. The PA was zero help and didn’t even line up slightly... Read More close. I would open the exam and it was like I had never seen the content before. The fact the class had a 3rd attempt exam pass study plan should have said all I needed to know. And well, here I am today, $10K less, and nothing to show for it. What a waste of a year. Mentor, worthless. CI, well I can’t say too much, all they did was provide the study plan, which never lined up to the exam. I just feel like I got cheated and robbed at the same time. Literally busted my butt for nothing and don’t even expect them to care, they have your money, they don’t care!! If I had to give advice, I’d say pick another school!!!!

I recommend American Intercontinental University to everyone since it is a very affordable and high-quality institution that is trying to provide the best education to its students. Because of COVID, I lost my job but I still wanted to study and use the time available as much as possible. I am pursuing my MBA with a specialization in Healthcare Management from AIU and I am happy with the format since it allows me a lot of flexibility in how I choose to study. I like the way the assignments are provided... Read More and the focus on practical aspects of decision-making and critical thinking. I was not looking for a program where they only teach theory and this program has been great that way. Some courses are theoretical but for those courses, it is required to know a lot of theory so I guess that is fine. The best part was that I did my test through intellipath and was amazed at the feedback I received. Kudos, AIU, Thank you Talentedge for assisting through the admission!

I did a lot of research before choosing Western Governors University. The many positives outweigh the cons by far. Here is just a few. The pros: 1). It's accredited 2). Available online, so very convenient for the many of us who work full time 3). One of the least expensive graduate programs out there The cons: 1). For those who need a classroom experience, the online approach isn't the way to go. They assign a "mentor" with weekly calls to keep you motivated but you still have to keep yourself motivated.... Read More 2). They don't grade on the typical "A","B","C","D","F" system. It's a Pass / fail system. Pass = "B". So probably not for those trying to transfer to Harvard, Yale or Stanford. 3). I will say, since it had been awhile since I had been back in school, just being back on the computer felt very foreign to me. So for those like me going back to school after many years may need to touch up on their "compute skills", otherwise that's a whole other frustrating topic!

I chose Brandman's MBA program because they have a partnership program with my employer and that made it less expensive. More importantly, I did not want to sacrifice income to get a graduate degree, and I needed the flexibility of an on-line program because I frequently work late and on the weekends. On that score, I am happy I attended Brandman because in all likelihood I would otherwise not have pursued a Masters degree. There were some real frustrations, however. The professors did not provide... Read More a lot of feedback, with the exception of the capstone/thesis class. Sometimes the professors seemed super qualified, other times they were not very good communicators at all. Sometimes the curricula were compelling; sometimes they seemed disjointed and poorly thought out. There was a big focus on group projects, which was a blessing at times and a curse at others. The other students I encountered were, for the most part, kind and smart; some were duds (which wasn't fun on group projects). There was one major snafu with financial aid that was really frustrating - it was only after many phone calls and contacting different people that I finally had a resolution. In terms of reputation, I'm not sure a Brandman MBA degree means anything to most employers and for all I know could be a liability - some may disparage an on-line degree or a non-accredited business school. No one knows Brandman, and those who do associate it with an office building they saw from some highway.. I did the degree more for enrichment and thinking it would enrich my career and perhaps open new pathways I hadn't considered before. I guess time will tell. To sum up, what I would say is that Brandman is worth considering if you really need flexibility as you pursue your education. If you can attend a State school in person, I would say that's probably a better bet, especially if you are relying on the degree to open up your job prospects. Also, if you are going to go to Brandman, it will work best if you are a self-starter. You need to pace yourself and kick it up a notch for the hard classes (Finance, Econ, Capstone). On average I spent about 10 hours a week on my homework.
