I can honestly say I enjoyed my time at Southern New Hampshire University. The guidance counselors were amazing. I went through a couple periods of real life hitting hard and they helped me navigate it seamlessly. Classes were all fairly easy. I was able to stay full-time and work full-time. If I ever had questions professors were responsive if I ever had to turn in anything late as long as I gave a professor, a heads up, they didn鈥檛 mark me off for it.

Southern New Hampshire University gave me the flexibility and support I needed to succeed as an online student. The instructors were helpful, coursework was meaningful, and the overall experience prepared me for my career. I'm proud to be a SNHU graduate!

I had a overall very good experience at SNHU. Some highlights for me was flexibility of class scheduling and affordability. The campus is also beautiful, and it is easy to get from different buildings to attend classes. All of the professors I interacted with were positive and I am glad I was able to get my degree here.

I enrolled in the school because it was during COVID, so online was the best option. That and I did not have a car, so the online curriculum and format was ideal for my situation. What I did not know was just how writing intensive the school programs were. That is not a bad thing because it gives plenty of opportunity to work on effective writing and communication. Above all else, was the flexibility of the course work. On some weeks where I was motivated, I was able to get all of my work done by... Read More

Southern New Hampshire University is the best online school I've ever attended. My student advisor checks in on a regular basis to ensure I am doing well and to answer any questions that I may have. The financial aid department has been exceptionally helpful and are very quick to get back to me even during busy times (term start and refund times). For the most part the instructors are helpful and easy to reach if needed. Overall, I have enjoyed my time with SNHU and am looking forward to continuing... Read More

Attending SNHU online has been a game-changer for my schedule. The 8-week terms are fast-paced but manageable, and the Brightspace platform is incredibly intuitive. I've found the advisors to be proactive and the writing-intensive projects more practical than traditional exams. It's perfect for working professionals who need flexibility without sacrificing accreditation.

I attended Southern New Hampshire online for free through the Guild program at Walmart. I applied with a previous 60 credit hours from my local community college. I attended for a year taking around 4 classes a semester. The classes were very easy and my classmates posts seemed very AI generated. All the homework the professors gave us were able to be found online. I would say overall the professor responded in a timely manner, and the advisors were helpful. Learning wise the education was not very... Read More

SNHU provided me with online learning. With that said, online is online. You will not get the one-on-one instructor coaching as you would in a classroom, HOWEVER, I have taken classroom courses at other colleges and sat in a room while we all read a page out of the book and took pop quizzes and a final. NO THANK YOU.
SNHU instead requires you to think, uses research skills and be able to compose essays, a TON of writing in these classes but by the end, which is this week 4-28-2024, I will have graduated... Read More

I was a transfer student to SNHU. I had completed my associate degree in business management from a community college with 71 credits. All of my existing credits were accepted at SNHU. I also completed and transferred another 26 credits through Sophia in one month for $79 during my time at SNHU. You have a residency requirement of 30 credits through SNHU, so they can make their money. I completed those 30 credits in 10 months and received my bachelors degree specializing in business administration... Read More

After attending a traditional on-campus university in Los Angeles County, I transferred to SNHU to continue my education during a military deployment. I found the workload at SNHU more rigorous than at my previous university. I should note that SNHU has fewer tests (except for math classes), reducing the need for extensive studying. Despite this, I believe SNHU's methods are more effective for retaining learned information. I prefer creating projects or writing papers over last-minute study sessions... Read More

SNHU has been a great choice for me while pursuing a business administration degree. From the start the flexibility of online courses is convenient if you are a full-time working adult. I will say that the learning environment is one where you have to be motivated to do the reading and research yourself on topics to produce quality projects/outcomes for your classes. This is an excellent choice for those that are self-starters at things and need very little outside help. The professor's that I've... Read More

SNHU promotes itself as being above the fray of other online schools, but it's the same: the educational experience is centered around a blackboard with automated discussion questions that are not designed by the "instructor," an instructor who doesn't lecture, not even a videotaped lecture. Essentially the instructor baby sits the class by grading papers they don't appear to read and responding to students' emails. This school hires instructors to satisfy the US Department of Education's requirement,... Read More

The instructors are a mixed bag. Some grade on time and provide helpful feedback. The majority wait until the last minute and do not grade fairly or provide feedback. The dispute process for a grade is smoke and mirrors. They make you believe you have a chance but always side with the instructors. That said, with the few good instructors I had, I learned a lot, but many depend on sending you to youtube for videos and provide zero guidance.

I would reach out and they always responded and gave feedback. I had a fantastic counselor and I used their online tutoring for a few classes. Tutors are available 24/7 and extremely helpful. I was impressed with the support and attention that I received from my professors. I am please with the entire experience at SNHU. I waited more than 30 years to complete my degree, and I could not have made a better choice than SNHU. They allowed me the time and gave me feedback to help make my experience a successful on. I was able to graduate with honors.

SNHU has put a lot of work into updating their courses this year and ensuring a quality education. Where they need improvement is in regards to some of their instructors. The programs are designed so that one week is not dependent on the next; however if you make mistakes on week one, you will also make mistakes on week two. The majority of the instructors I had during my degree program would provide grades on Wed-Thurs before the following weeks assignment were due on Sunday. The classes in which... Read More

I've attended traditional college settings in the past for my associates and the beginning part of my bachelor's so I feel I have a good foundation to compare the online and in person settings. Although there are many reviews that state the school didn't hold their hand and help guide them as much as they desire, that is what you receive with an online school. SNHU specifically caters to adults who have lives- children and/or careers and I believe the expectation is that you need to find the balance... Read More

Completely awful! I had a 4.0 GPA, doing great and then my husband was in an accident and my whole world went upside down. He had to have several surgeries and just when we thought he was on the mend, his kidneys started to fail and we were back in the hospital again trying to save his life. SNHU boasts that they know life happens and they will work with you. It's a lie, they just chalk it up to a loss, charge you for losing and then make you pay before you can move forward.
