I graduated from Concord in 2010. The school was (then) quite challenging. I was put on academic probation only once...(my fault) but the professors worked with me and I made it to graduation. I sat for the CA bar and passed on my second go round. The CA bar is most likely the toughest in the nation. I was able to waive into Virginia as a Corporate Counsel, sat for and passed the Md. bar and have had my own legal firm since 2012. Couldn't have done it without Concord Law. And I paid my tuition as... Read More I went, leaving me debt free upon graduation. It is far more affordable than brick and mortar schools. And for what it is worth, I have gone head to head with Harvard, Yale, Stanford, UVA etc educated attorneys' and they don't have any magic Concord Law graduates don't. I would add that I have bested them in both criminal proceedings and civil, multiple times. It's how you prepare and go in armed with research and argument. Only complaint...Concord needs to fight for or push through on the state level and fed level...allowing the same opportunities for Concord attorneys' as ABA (rip off org) attorneys'.

Currently, very few reputed universities and colleges offer Integrated and interdisciplinary programs so i suggest to join Quantum University Roorkee which ranks No.1 in entire Uttarakhand. There are so many different courses in the university with different combinations. The campus life is also very exciting here due to the campus location, there are so many opportunities for the adventure lovers. Rishikesh, Haridwar, Dehradun, Mussoorie are nearby places where we will go for river rafting, cliff jumping, trekking, camping, paragliding and so many adventures things. if we talk about inside the campus so there are sports grounds, gym, cafeteria are available for students. Other than this if we talk about the studies so I think that this university is overall good for any student. The teaching methodology is based on personal attention, and the teaching and learning process involves many live projects, assignments, industrial visits, guest lecturers etc. While the Institution encourages its students in the path of academic excellence, great emphasis is also laid on soft skills, English language classes, co-curricular and extra-curricular activities. As such, every Quantum student shall have the opportunity to excel in his or her chosen field.

I moved all the way to Lynchburg from Ca to attend Liberty, turning down several good schools because I thought I was getting an amazing Christian experience. Read More school's offer to attend. The agency even offered to give Liberty a cashiers check - they refused to take the check FROM A GOVERNMENT AGENCY!!!!! The agency never heard of such a thing and neither have I, especially since Liberty has taken their money in the past without issue. They tried for 3 months and complained that Liberty was not returning calls or emails. Liberty tried to push me into taking federal and direct loans. I withdrew & am now stranded in Lynchburg reapplying to law schools all over again. Thank God I have a good enough LSAT score to do that. Many of the kids at Liberty Law went to low end schools and got 145 or so on their LSAT so I understand that they have little choice. Here's the skinny. Liberty convinces kids with higher scores to ditch the better schools because they are Christian, and that's how they are able to keep their in-coming LSAT averages up. Then, they fill the rest of the seats with flunkies that they do not intend to graduate but they feed them the old "God loves you," "we're helping you," so that when they fail out of classes they will keep coming back until their wallet is empty retaking classes or they give up. However, these kids claw and scratch to beat the bell curve and will make up stories and lie about the people with higher scores in order to get them kicked out or to gain favor with professors and deans. Christian or not, it is a despicable system. I was accused of staring and having an inappropriate conversation with a girl I had never even talked to. She even got two other girls to corroborate her story!!! Others had similar stories after only 3 weeks of class. The reality is that everyone knows that in these bottom feeder law schools the bell curve is meant to weed out 20% of the 1L students, however it's a business so they lie and tell you that the program is meant to help everyone make it. The numbers consistently tell a different story. Every year 90 1L's come in, every year about 40-45 graduate. 50% are going to get the axe. My advice is tell your kids to study hard for the LSAT and go to a ranked school where the system has become progressive and they strive to retain their students who are working hard and whose parents are paying an incredible amount of money. Passing the bar is great, but even if you don't pass, you should have a JD degree to show for your hard work and money. This program is garbage. Last thing....the Foundations class was the most embarrassing college class I have ever attended. Even city college would never have a class this bad, and to think it was in graduate school made me shutter. A biblical perspective that included anti gay rhetoric, justification of slavery, diminishing women's roles, archaic explanations and over extending boundaries of corporal punishment (saying it's ok to use excessive punishment for menial crimes/ even moral issues that are not criminal according to actual federal/ state laws - like homosexual behavior and men looking at women on a beach for example!!!!) The insistence that we bring back Blackstone into modern courts and insist that God's law be argued in the courts was odd and incompatible with the lawyering world in a place we like to call REALITY! For the most part, the professors/staff are very nice & the lectures are very good. Many of the students are nice, but I would not recommend this school unless your LSAT is low, you are local and went to Liberty for undergrad or you personally know professors or staff. It's very expensive. For half the money you can get twice the school elsewhere.

In terms of class size, Southwestern was amazing for one-on-one time with professors. Students can really connect with professors and develop an educational network that has led many undergrads to pursue higher education. In fact, a large majority of SU students go on to work towards a Masters/PhD right after graduation. Classes at SU were largely discussion based, so you really get to know your classmates. The school also organizes a semester "symposium" that invites speakers to give extremely interesting... Read More lectures based on the year's theme. In terms of social life, clubs and Greek life are easy to join and participate in. There are also many student-organized cultural events that go on during the year! Student athletes make up a good percentage of the student body and the school recently started participating in eSports (Golden Pirates team)!

Emory University was a top 20 nationally ranked private university at the time I attended, 2009-2013. I attended because it was close enough yet far enough from my home in Orlando, FL to give me a sense of independence. The campus was immaculate, with white marble buildings, an impressively enormous libary, and within the bustling city of Metropolitan Atlanta. These three facets of campus life would be what sustained me through the most trying, most demoralizing, and most institutionally racist experiences... Read More of my life.

Freshman year, I learned the meaning of institutional racism through Emory's selective enforcement of the Office of Student Conduct's anti-hazing policies. I regularly witnessed evidence of hazing on "Frat Row": white boys streaking, white boys parading campus wearing skirts, CVS cotton balls strewn on the front lawn of a black fraternity with the vandalized message "Pick up cotton, ns". Never did I hear of those fraternities being suspended, investivated or barred from campus for a number of years. I joined the freshman step team to make friends and get involved with the black student body. Stepping requires stamina and physical fitness. After a lengthy investigation and interrogation process, Emory disbanded and banned the step team, my first foray into student activity, within 3 months, due to what they called "hazing".

The following year, I was days from my official initiation ceremony for a high profile black sorority, one my mother and family friends were travelling to attend. On the day of my ceremony, we got news that Emory had instructed this sorority to "cease and desist" all membership intake procedures. It was like a bad case of deja vu: again, I was selected as a 'witness' and pursued for interrogation as part of Emory's investigation into this sorority. After another lengthy process, this sorority was disbanded and barred from campus for 5 years, effective immediately. My hopes and dreams of creating a sense of community, pride, and love of my university were dashed into the dust on that day. I've never felt like more of a criminal than these interrogations. My GPA suffered, my sense of belonging suffered.

After that, black fraternities and sororities were routinely removed from Emory's campus. I did not notice any hazing allegations being investigated or punished among the white Greek organizations. Not even the one that pulled the racist, vile 'pick up cotton' stunt.

Nothing, however, could prepare me for what was supposed to be the final spring semester of my undergraduate career. Tuition was about $53,000+ my first year, that amount grew significantly each year. The financial aid and grants they offered me was substantial my freshman year, that amount quickly shrank to almost nothing by my senior year. I was blocked from enrollment in my final semester: I only had two classes left to get my BA degree, and I could not enroll due to insufficient funds. I met with and pleaded with Financial aid and Student Financial Services officers. They were beyond apathetic, they blamed me for picking a school my family could not afford.

All in all, I would not recommend students of color or students that will rely heavily on financial assistance from the government or the institution attend this university. I should have gone to Spelman, a school with just as rigorous a curriculum, but of much more limited financial resources. If I knew then what I know now, I would have chosen a school that goes out of its way to foster community, pride, and a sense of belonging in its students.

I was initially drawn to Loyola University Chicago because it has a great pitch-- private, rigorous, Jesuit education on a beautiful campus, in the heart of Chicago. However, the quality did not justify the cost. I became increasingly disillusioned with the university as I feel it does not act on the ideals it espouses. I truly felt like the advisors and administration put forth minimal effort and showed little investment in the success of its students. Bottom line is I walked away with 90k in student... Read More loans. I had issues with the BURSAR (financial aid) office every single year I attended. Two big issues included documents not on file, and incorrect loan request amount. The documents were delivered by hand months in advance, and someone in the BURSAR office walked through the loan process with me and my parent (I am a first generation student, and we needed help to make sure we were applying for everything correctly). Additionally, classes which were required components of my major were cancelled several times. I very nearly ended up having to graduate late (more money) to meet the requirements. Instead chose to sacrifice classes/subjects I was most interested in and take generic but credit satisfying courses. These administrative issues resulted in financial penalties for us. By the time I graduated, Loyola education felt more about making money for the school than preparing its students. In fairness, the professors are remarkable and of high caliber-- but the cost is simply not worth it. I know that I am not alone in these difficulties with this university. At first, I felt like perhaps I was just a case of one student falling through the cracks, but the more students and graduates I spoke with, the more we realized the aforementioned grievances are more of a commonality than not. I would encourage any prospective student to really look at every option and consider the cost. I am unhappy with my experience, and have all the debt on top of it.
